Well hi there mommies/ladies!

Are you thinking of any particular goals you want to set on this upcoming new year?

Time will fly by anyway, weather we like it or not, but what we do with that time, can be a life changer.

even a little a day, in several days, weeks, months, years, can be an enormous transformation in whichever area the work was done in.

With little habit changes each day, we can be a day closer to that dream of yours!

It does not even have to be goals for finances or a new job. It can simply be, having better emotional, spiritual or financial state than what you currently in.

We have to admit that there are always some areas we can improve on.

Isn't it a cliche that whenever we think of a new year resolution, weight loss comes up in mind :)

There are actually more goals than that!

Such as, becoming better at a task/job, being more present mom/wife, relationship goals, financial, spiritual, health, emotional or materialistic goals.

Creating goals is the first step to making your dreams become your reality!

Thinking about your dreams more often can keep you very motivated.

Having a dream vision board of all the things you wish to achieve, accomplish or get can be SO encouraging!

(you can customize one on Etsy.com and then print it out).

Seeing the dream makes it easier to get up in the morning and face the day and any hurdles.

Not only do goals keep you motivated, but they workout self-discipline and consistency which helps you be accountable for your actions; which leads you to being the best version of yourself internally!

You might say that your already doing “A lot”, but “A lot” doesn’t mean your getting "A lot" done.

Grant cardone once said, every person has an asset. Its anything that he or she has in their possession.

A phone, internet access, kids, working car, laptop, etc...

Get creative and use what you already have.

When we begin to realize all that we do have, we will find ways to invest what we have, or our time into so much more potential capabilities which in return will make us wealthy emotionally, spiritually and even materialistically.

Off course you will fail at certain parts, reaching to your goal, but it can also reveal areas to you where improvement is needed.

If there is no failure, then I must not be trying!

To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did!

Continue to progress!

Here is a quote by Denzel Washington, which is very encouraging and motivating to me and I hope it will be to you as well.

“True desire in the heart, for anything good, is God’s proof to you, sent before hand, to indicate to you that its YOURS already.”

It is so amazing to think that God puts desires in our heart for a reason.

I’m not saying ALL our desires are from God, but we should pray about our good desires so they would line up to his plan for our life and he will help us achieve them!

One of my favorite passages,

” if God is for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?”

Here are some mommy goals ideas:

* Stop cleaning the house ALL day and instead enjoy the games and adventours during the day and begin cleaning around 4-5 pm ,just in time before papa gets home.

* Incorporate bible story time with kiddos daily. –> after breakfast or before bedtime

* Incorporate kids “quiet time” during the day, which can include a nap, solo book reading time, coloring, short bible story clip, etc… to be able to prepare a dinner meal or finish some work or read a little book yourself or simply to take a short break for yourself. This is possible, if you organize your time and try and make it happen  (speaking from experience, but everyday is not guaranteed  ).

* Read or listen through the entire bible by the end of the year. (YouTube has AMAZING audio bibles and many different versions).

* Meal plan (make a list on Sunday for the upcoming week)

* Create yourself a budget and plan accordingly

* Pray daily (as soon as you get up/ when you stand at the red light/ teach kiddos to pray and take turns before good nights/ etc)

* Incorporate a 20 min workout (gym or home)

* Maybe lose a few pounds

* Spend less and save for a little getaway for your family (little by little, it adds up!)

* Teach kiddos to do some chores around the house

* Give yourself at least one day of pampering out of the month (massage, foot massage  mani, pedi’s, etc)

You guessed it, this is a glimpse of my personal resolutions I’ve been working on over a few years and still am.  I would love to see what your resolutions are.

Here are some steps to take to creating a resolution/goal/plan:

1. First off, set up your goals that you know are realistic for you to achieve. Don’t set the target to something that is unachievable.

2. Your goal must be specific, and you must understand a plan how to reach it. Write the action you will take to achieve that goal.

3. Start your goals with,” I will” instead of “I want”. This will make the process easier making it sound as if you already are achieving it.

4. Your plans must have deadlines. Set a time frame for each goal to be reached by. It will push you to actually work on it.

5. You can set smaller milestones in the process of reaching your main goal.

6. Track the progress of your goal. Its the progress that keeps us motivated.

According to Dr.Caroline Leaf, it takes on average 21-66 days of repetitive behavior, to form a habit. “It takes around twenty-one days to rewire neural pathways and begin building a new way of thinking.” “The talk between the conscious and non conscious mind requires discipline and practice to built a new way of thinking”.

Personally I didn’t take setting resolutions seriously, until one year I tried setting a couple resolutions. Within the first months, I realized that it got me working on my goal on the daily basis. If I wouldn’t have set it, the guilt to not accomplish it, wouldn’t be there. I was so excited to achieve it, that I continuously worked on it. The following year I didn’t set any, thinking Ill continue being on a roll as usual, and to my surprise, I failed within a month and by the end of the year, I felt guilty and underachieved.

So from that point on, I continuously set goals for myself, knowing that its working the best character and discipline in me. From that point on, setting resolutions was a must and I now do it always!

So now that you have some strategic idea of how and where to start, i wish you success in your daily choices and life. Blessings!
